Paul Pelosi is 86 years old, so what is he doing behind the wheel after a drunk driving conviction? This isn’t just about one old man causing a little fender-bender — it’s a glaring sign of everything wrong with the rules for the rich and powerful in America. If anyone else racked up a DUI at that age, they’d likely be forced off the road faster than you can say “public safety.” But if your last name is Pelosi, you apparently get a free pass.
Let’s be honest: Driving is a privilege, not a right. When regular Americans mess up behind the wheel, the government is quick to snatch away their licenses. Yet, the elites break the law and keep cruising, putting everyone else in danger. It’s pure hypocrisy. The left claims to care about the little guy, but when their own friends break the rules, they look the other way. If Nancy Pelosi wasn’t a globalist darling, you can bet her husband would have been sidelined long ago.
This is the sort of thing that makes honest folks lose faith in the system. Why should hardworking moms and dads follow the rules if the Pelosi family just ignores them? How many more crashes do we need before the law is enforced evenly? Just because someone has money and political connections doesn’t mean we should all risk our lives every time he decides to drive down to the wine shop.
The idea that someone pushing ninety, with a record for drunk driving, can still legally drive is insane. Where are the Democrats who pretend to care about “public safety?” Where is their outrage? Or do they only care if it scores them political points? When they get a chance to hold their own accountable, they just shrug. Meanwhile, the rest of us are supposed to hope we’re not sharing the road with another reckless Pelosi.
Paul Pelosi should not be on the road. California’s failing system enables the rich and powerful, while putting the rest of us at risk. It’s time to stop making excuses for these liberal elites and start protecting everyday Americans. How many more special privileges do the Pelosis get before we finally say enough is enough?
