The liberal media just can’t help themselves. They love to search for outrage, even if it means picking on something as innocent as a reflecting pool. This time, Democrat mouthpieces set their sights on the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool—not because there was anything wrong, but because they needed a fresh target for their constant complaints. Of course, real Americans know the truth: there’s no crisis at the reflecting pool, only a crisis in common sense over at the mainstream press.
Enter Governor Doug Burgum, who isn’t afraid to call out the childish antics from left-wing talking heads. Instead of letting their snark slide, he put them in their place—publicly and without apology. When liberal media darling George Stephanopoulos started ranting about some imaginary disaster at the reflecting pool, Burgum simply set the record straight. The pool looked fantastic. It was yet another fake controversy stirred up to distract from issues that actually matter.
The left never misses a chance to nitpick America’s symbols—its monuments, traditions, and patriotic landmarks. Apparently, nothing is sacred unless the globalist elites decide it’s “woke” enough. What is it about our history and national pride that terrifies these people? Maybe they just can’t stand seeing something work well, especially if it wasn’t their idea.
It’s no surprise that the media keeps recycling tired narratives just to bash conservatives and fan the flames of outrage. They thrive on make-believe scandals and would rather scream about a so-called “problem” than report when things are running smoothly. Why admit that the reflecting pool looks great when you can invent a story to lecture Americans about yet another crisis that doesn’t exist?
Burgum’s smackdown was a breath of fresh air. Americans are sick and tired of whining from the press and their political puppets. Maybe it’s time the left stopped pointing fingers and started looking in the mirror. If their biggest criticism is a perfectly normal reflecting pool, what does that say about their priorities? Maybe the real reflection liberals need is the one staring back at them.
