Only the left could find a way to whine about America on her 250th birthday. While patriotic Americans all over the country celebrated our nation’s founding with fireworks, parades, and flag-waving pride, Democrats and their media allies just couldn’t help but throw a tantrum. Instead of joining in the festivities, they did what they always do — attack President Donald Trump and grumble about how unfair life is working for the government. Some even complained about pretzels being handed out at the events. This is where we are now: federal workers demanding sympathy because they got snacks instead of trophies.
Leave it to the liberal press and Washington bureaucrats to take a historic milestone and turn it into another reason to moan about how miserable they supposedly are under Trump’s leadership. According to self-important government employees, this birthday bash was all “stress” and “work,” as if they expected the rest of us to shed a tear about their paperwork. Heaven forbid anything interrupts their endless vacations or six-figure pensions. Meanwhile, the rest of the country was celebrating the land of the free, not pouting over a busy shift or a different kind of snack table.
Of course, the media mob didn’t stop there. Outlets on the left howled about Trump redirecting money away from pet liberal “humanities” projects and state-run “history” programs, never mind the fact that most taxpayers are sick of funding left-wing nonsense disguised as education. When liberals complain about cutting waste, it really means losing control over how the government spends your money. Shockingly, only Democrats see this as a tragedy. Normal Americans? They’d rather see dollars go to border security, new jobs, and a stronger military, not more woke exhibits and lectures about how terrible our country supposedly is.
Then there was the outrage over faith and patriotism being part of the celebration. One Democrat from Arizona openly declared she’s plotting to investigate the very idea of celebrating Christianity and love of country. Do they even hear themselves? When national pride and faith are now considered crimes in the eyes of the left, you know they’ve gone completely off the rails. These are the same people who would throw a parade for every other culture on Earth, but lose their minds when someone waves an American flag.
Despite all the caterwauling, the 250th anniversary roared on with spectacular fireworks, military honors, and crowds of true patriots. Sure, a handful of leftist musicians dropped out in protest, but who cares? A little heat and a lot of Trump Derangement Syndrome didn’t stop Americans from paying tribute to the greatest country on earth. And as usual, liberal activists tried to create chaos — smearing the celebration, even allegedly trying to vandalize the Reflecting Pool revamped by Trump. Guess we should all be shocked they didn’t call it “problematic” that people were actually proud to be American.
Maybe the left should ask themselves: why is it that every time Americans want to come together and celebrate, they show up ready to divide us and complain? If it were Biden in the White House, these same people would call it “historic.” But when Trump leads, suddenly loving America is an “investigation.” Just another day for a movement that hates borders, hates tradition, and apparently, hates birthdays too. The greatest nation in history just had a party — and liberals looked like the only ones not invited.
