Democrats never miss an opportunity to embarrass themselves, and the Graham Platner debacle proves it once again. For months, left-wing elites lined up behind Platner, treating him like the golden boy who would solve all their problems. Conservatives warned this would blow up in their faces, but the left refused to listen, as usual.
Now, as Platner’s troubles spill into public view, Democrats are tripping over each other to run away from him. Suddenly, all those bold defenders of Platner want him to step aside. Funny how their loyalty vanishes when things get tough. The party that loves to talk about “unity” can’t even unite around their own chosen candidate.
This is what happens when you sell out common sense for political convenience. The Democrats put all their eggs in one basket, built entirely on media spin, fake smiles, and hollow promises. Now, with Platner exposed, they can’t scramble fast enough to avoid the blame. The smell of panic coming from the left is unmistakable.
The real losers here are everyday Americans. While Democrats play games and jump ship, families worry about rising prices and crumbling schools. Liberals are more concerned with saving face than serving the country. This is classic left-wing hypocrisy—holding others to standards they won’t meet themselves.
When will the Democrats learn that empty virtue-signaling and spineless leadership don’t work? Once again, they chose a candidate for the headlines, not for the people. Maybe next time the left should listen when conservatives warn them about disaster waiting to happen. But then again, that would require admitting they don’t always know best.
