Graham Platner, the left’s supposed “rising star,” now faces a horrifying accusation from a former girlfriend who says he forced himself on her even after she told him “no” over and over. The story is sickening, but here’s what’s worse: Democrat leaders still scramble to protect their own.
Instead of standing up for women, Donna Brazile—one of their biggest political insiders—actually suggests Platner should drop out so he can “heal.” Heal from what? His own abuse? Here’s a guy accused by more than one woman of serious, violent things, and all the Democrats can do is worry about how he feels. Classic liberal move: The victim always seems to be the abuser in their eyes, especially if there’s an election at stake.
This was their golden ticket to defeating Susan Collins and grabbing more power in the Senate. Now their chosen hero turns out to be a monster, and the best advice they can give is to help HIM get better? Where’s the support for the real victims here? Where’s the righteous outrage they always claim to have when it’s someone on the right accused of far less?
Liberals have made a religion out of “believe all women”—except, apparently, when the accused is their own comrade. Suddenly, it’s all about giving the abuser space, showing him compassion, and moving on. Are we really surprised anymore? The left doesn’t care about women; they care about winning. Democrat double standards have hit a new low. If this was a conservative accused of the same things, media would be screaming for his head. Instead, we get sympathy for the accused and crickets for the women he allegedly hurt. This isn’t just hypocrisy—it’s a slap in the face to every victim. When will Americans realize: This is the real face of the modern left.
