Maine Democrats are in full panic mode after their own Senate nominee, Graham Platner, was slapped with sexual assault allegations. Suddenly the party of “believe all women” isn’t so quick to speak up. Only after it got too messy to hide did Democrat leaders step in and start calling for Platner to drop out. It’s the same old song and dance—protect their own until the bad press is just too dangerous.
Let’s be honest: this is classic liberal hypocrisy. When it’s a conservative facing an accusation, the media and Democrat politicians line up to destroy careers—no evidence needed, just accusations. But when it happens on their side, it’s all about “due process” and “let’s not rush to judgment.” Maine’s Democrats wouldn’t be doing anything if voters weren’t watching, and they only act when their power is threatened.
Time and again, the left preaches about morals and standards. Yet, when one of their favored candidates is accused of disgusting acts, suddenly it’s hush-hush. They can’t hide it anymore, so they pretend to take the moral high ground by demanding Platner step down. Funny how doing the bare minimum suddenly becomes “brave leadership” in the Democrat world.
It’s not just hypocrisy—it’s incompetence. These are the people pushing radical agendas, flooding local elections with outside money. But when a scandal shows up right in their own backyard, they freeze. If they can’t vet their own candidates, what does that say about the rest of their “solutions” for America? Trusting liberals to run our schools, our neighborhoods, our country? That’s a terrifying thought.
Americans deserve leaders held to real standards—not shifting goalposts and partisan cover-ups. The Democrat machine only cares about power, not truth or justice. Maybe next time they lecture conservatives, someone should remind them about Graham Platner. Or would that be “off limits,” too?
