The so-called “beautiful game” isn’t so beautiful when global elites and anti-American bureaucrats get involved. Americans tuned in hoping to watch the U.S. Men’s National Team face Belgium, only to be thrown into a circus of controversy—just the latest chapter in FIFA’s ongoing soap opera of double standards and chaos. First, the refs in charge tried to sideline one of our best, Folarin Balogun, giving him a red card and suspending him from the big match. Is anyone really surprised? It’s almost like the soccer establishment wants to kneecap the United States every chance it gets.
Anybody paying attention knows that FIFA rarely plays fair—especially when it’s the USA gunning for a win. If this had happened to a European superstar, liberal sports media would be setting the world on fire demanding “accountability.” But when it’s an American, all we hear is crickets. There’s a reason globalist groups love soccer: it’s another way for them to call the shots and keep Americans in their place, even on the field.
And then, in true FIFA fashion, they suddenly “reverse” the suspension. One minute Balogun’s out, the next he’s back. Want to know what changed? The court of public opinion got loud. Patriot fans wouldn’t back down, and officials felt the pressure. If we left decisions up to unaccountable committees, Americans would always get the short end of the stick. It’s only when common sense and public outrage come together that these out-of-touch organizations even pretend to do the right thing.
The whole episode is a masterclass in hypocrisy. Liberals love lecturing us about “equity” and “fairness”—but where are they now? The silence from the left is deafening. They never miss a chance to bash America when it fits their narrative. But when our team gets railroaded by rigged international rulings, they suddenly lose their voices. The double standard is disgusting.
It’s long past time for sports fans—real Americans—to demand better. We shouldn’t trust world organizations to decide the fate of our teams. Are we going to sit back and let the global soccer machine keep stacking the deck against us, or are we finally going to call out this anti-American nonsense for what it is? The ball’s in our court—are we ready to kick it straight back at them?
