The meltdown in Maine is just another shining example of how Democrats will abandon all logic and morality when it benefits their political machine. Graham Platner, their latest golden boy, didn’t just pop up out of nowhere—everyone knew who he was and what he stood for. The so-called “vetting process” was a joke. Democratic leaders and influencers across the country chose to ignore a mountain of disturbing red flags because winning at any cost is their motto. Self-described communists with some of the most shocking personal histories? Not a problem for the left, as long as there’s a “D” next to the candidate’s name.
Now, when things hit the fan, Democratic strategists act like they’re shocked—like they just found out Platner’s past is a dumpster fire. Please. Every ugly detail was out there in the open. The tattoos, the perverse social media activity, the stomach-turning fantasies—none of it was a secret. Yet the left-wing establishment, from radical voices in Congress to progressive media, made excuses, rationalized, and looked the other way. They cheered him on, pushed Maine voters to back him, and funneled in cash from across the nation. There’s no hiding from the fact that the entire Democratic machine signed off on Platner, warts and all.
The real cynicism came when Democrats only started to panic after a new accusation surfaced—this time, from a fellow liberal. Suddenly, the party that claims to care about victims tries to rewrite history and pretend they didn’t know what Platner really was. Apparently, Democrats are fine with predators, as long as they think the victims are conservatives. The hypocrisy is staggering. Maybe they’d rather accuse everyday Americans of “misinformation” than look in the mirror and admit their entire operation is built on lies.
Not only is it clear that the Democrats have no standards, but it’s also proof of how desperate their party has become. They’ll back any radical leftist, no matter how troubled, just to cling to power in Maine and everywhere else. Now, with the clock ticking, the party has to scramble to distance itself from the monster they created. Will they even have the backbone to pull Platner from the ballot, or will they keep pretending this was all a surprise?
Watching the left race to clean up their own mess would be amusing if it weren’t so dangerous for America. How many more unvetted, unfit radicals will the Democrats shove down the country’s throat while pretending they had no idea? The truth is, the left signed up for this nightmare—they just didn’t expect to get caught.
