Bernie Sanders Abandons Embattled Senate Star as Democrats Panic Over Sex Assault Scandal

Another day, another Democrat scandal—this time in Maine. Graham Platner, the left’s would-be Senate star, just faced another round of ugly sexual assault allegations. What does the Democrat machine do when one of their chosen gets caught? They scramble. They panic. They toss him under the bus faster than you can say “progressive values.”

Bernie Sanders, the king of socialist virtue-signaling, was one of Platner’s loudest cheerleaders. But once the story broke, Sanders did what Democrats do best: he cut and ran. All that talk about believing victims, standing up for the oppressed, holding leaders accountable—they just disappear when the left’s own power is at stake. Suddenly, the guy Bernie once called his top pick is not even fit to show his face in the race.

It’s not just Bernie. Democrats in Maine and all over the country are now demanding Platner drop out. Apparently, the so-called party of empathy and justice changes its mind the minute it feels political heat. It’s clear: Democrats care more about saving face than standing for real values. Their so-called “zero tolerance” is just zero backbone, if you ask me.

But are we really surprised? For years, the liberal elite has swept scandals under the rug, protected their own, and then acted shocked when their hypocrisy is exposed. Bernie Sanders and his allies will pretend they had no idea, but we know better. They care about power, not people. From the Clintons to Cuomo and now Platner, there’s always a new story, but the same old excuses.

The American people are tired of this charade. We see the double standards. We see politicians like Bernie use words like “accountability” as a shield—right up until they get caught red-handed with another broken promise. Maybe Bernie should take a look in the mirror. How many more Democrats does the left plan to elevate before their chickens come home to roost? Or will they just keep tossing them under the bus, hoping no one’s watching?
