California’s Schools: Where “Equity” Means Failure
Let’s call it what it is: California’s so-called “anti-racism” in public schools is just racism dressed up in a new suit. While the left lectures everyone about “white supremacy,” their own policies say much worse about Black Americans than any right-winger ever could. It’s the left pushing the idea that hard work and clear thinking are somehow traits only “white” people have — as if Black kids can’t do math, read, or even know how to show an ID at the polls without government help. That’s not progress. That’s a slap in the face.
Everywhere you look, woke activists are busy coming up with new ways to divide Americans. But the most sickening example is inside our schools. In Wisconsin, Milwaukee’s public schools drown in taxpayer money, spending nearly $19,000 per kid, yet their test scores are an absolute disgrace. Only a tiny fraction of Black students can read or do math at grade level. Does the left fix this? Do they admit their “progressive” ideas failed? Of course not. All they offer is demands for more cash and more power, never any real solutions.
California, always desperate to be the trendsetter of nonsense, is going even further. Now activists want to push “Black English” into preschools, insisting young Black kids speak a different dialect so they can “feel valued.” What a cruel joke. Teaching children to use broken grammar and slang from their earliest years isn’t about uplifting anyone—it’s about locking them out of opportunity, forever. Mississippi, a state the left loves to sneer at, ditched all the woke nonsense and got back to basics like phonics. And guess what? Over half of Black students in Mississippi read at grade level. They spend less money and get better results. California’s answer? More failing, more division, and more excuses.
All of this insanity is backed by California’s sky-high education spending. Governor Newsom bragged about record sums thrown at the schools, but the results are plain embarrassing. A quarter or less of California’s students can read or do math on grade level. There are leftist bureaucrats cheering “bilingualism” but in reality, they’re setting up a permanent underclass by lowering standards and peddling victimhood. When teachers can’t even discipline disruptive students because “cultural appropriateness” matters more than learning, everyone suffers.
Here’s the hard truth: the left needs Black children to fail. Without a dependent underclass—without folks struggling—the Democrats have nothing to run on. They keep people trapped with poisonous ideas dressed up as virtue. Literacy, responsibility, and academic success aren’t “white supremacy”—they are the building blocks of freedom. California’s education system is a disgrace, and these leftist activists are its biggest enemies. Who’s the real racist: the people demanding kids learn to read, or the ones telling them they never can?
