America loves a winner. When the USMNT crashed out of the World Cup after a lifeless loss to Belgium, it stung—not just for soccer fans, but for anyone who expects the red, white, and blue to show some backbone on the world stage. This wasn’t just about a missed goal or a bad call. It was about watching yet another American team seem lost, flat, and disconnected, as if the very idea of American grit had been swapped out for generic, globalist nothingness.
This is what happens when leadership gives in to flashy “unity” slogans while shoving aside everything that actually made this country great. Instead of showing boldness and American spirit, the squad looked like they’d already accepted defeat. Our boys didn’t play for pride or passion; they played for hashtags and empty gestures. It’s just another example of the liberal urge to smooth out all the edges that made America strong—trading heart and fire for playing not to offend anyone.
Let’s not pretend this is just about a soccer game. The same wishy-washy attitude infects everything liberals touch. They talk about momentum and “awesome vibes” as if that wins championships—or wars. While other teams fight for their flags with blood, sweat, and tears, our own look more interested in bland, international approval than actually standing tall for the USA. We’re witnessing the direct results of years spent telling our kids that real achievement doesn’t matter as long as everyone “feels included.”
Even the so-called expertise behind the team has taken a hit. Instead of real leadership, we got managers parroting woke talking points. That’s the globalist way: make everyone fit the mold, erase national pride, and watch the ratings rise in the rest of the world. The problem? Americans don’t want to be European light. That’s not who we are, or ever will be. When you water down American spirit, you throw away the winning instinct that set us apart in everything from sports to business to saving the free world.
So here’s the question: How much longer will Americans tolerate second-rate performances from people who seem embarrassed by their own country? Maybe it’s time we demand teams and leaders who actually care about representing the USA—who understand that winning, pride, and unapologetic patriotism aren’t just old-school ideas, but the key to greatness.
