Democrats are always preaching about “vetting” and “accountability,” but when it comes to their own candidates, the rules suddenly go out the window. Just look at the latest mess with Graham Platner, a Democratic Senate candidate who was apparently so poorly vetted that even his own colleagues are throwing up their hands in frustration. Congressman Sydney Kamlager-Dove, a Democrat herself, is finally admitting what conservatives have been warning about for years: Democrats like Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren can’t even bother to do the bare minimum homework on the people they back.
It’s almost funny—if it wasn’t so pathetic. These are the same liberals who love to lecture Republicans nonstop about character and transparency. Yet when it’s time to put their own team under the microscope, they act shocked—shocked!—that embarrassing information keeps dripping out after the fact. Turns out, there was already dirt out there on Platner. People all over Congress could hear the warning alarms, but top progressives like Sanders and Warren didn’t bother to listen.
Instead of standing up for American values, these left-wing heavyweights just rubber-stamp whoever fits their radical agenda. They don’t care if there’s baggage, as long as the candidate supports higher taxes, open borders, and globalist policies that always leave working families behind. And when the ugly truth starts leaking out, their best excuse is: “We kept hearing more is going to come.” Well, maybe if they spent less time grandstanding and more time investigating, they’d avoid making this mess in the first place.
What’s so galling is the hypocrisy. These are the loudest voices calling for background checks on everyone else, yet they skip the process when it suits them. Is this what leadership looks like? Or is it just more of the same old self-serving incompetence that the Democratic Party is now famous for?
Once again, the left has revealed its true colors. It’s not about safety, honesty, or the American people. It’s about pushing their own political power—no matter the cost. If this is how Democrats run their own party, why should anyone trust them to run the country?
