Mamdani loves to parade around and pretend he’s some kind of working-class hero. But let’s look at the real reason New Yorkers still have jobs, shops are open, and tax dollars are rolling in: capitalism. Small businesses power the city. Wall Street pays the bills. If Mamdani truly had his way, those jobs would dry up overnight, and hardworking families would pay the price. That’s the dirty little secret the left never wants to admit.
It’s almost laughable to watch liberal politicians take credit for things they don’t even understand. Look around. None of these loudmouth socialist policies would even last if it weren’t for the steady stream of revenue from businesses and investors. The globalists and radical left want to destroy the foundation that actually supports the city. Their hypocrisy is stunning—they campaign against capitalism while secretly relying on it to fund their wild spending and failed programs.
If socialism worked so well, why aren’t New Yorkers fleeing to socialist countries? Instead, the world’s best and brightest flock to New York to build businesses, chase dreams, and make money—all because freedom and markets still have a toehold. The only thing “impossible” about socialism is that anyone’s still falling for this stale, failed ideology. How much longer will the city survive on the fumes of capitalism before Mamdani and his far-left cronies run it into the ground?
