Donald Trump just reminded the world what real leadership looks like. Early Wednesday morning, American bombs hit Iranian targets in direct response to Iran’s attacks on shipping in the Strait of Hormuz. While liberal politicians wring their hands and moan about “diplomacy,” Trump actually protects American interests. He refuses to cower to a regime that calls for our destruction while targeting innocent ships. About time someone called out these Iranian thugs for what they are.
This is the difference between Trump and the weaklings running Washington before he showed up. Obama and his globalist pals used to bend over backward to appease the Iranian regime, tossing pallets of cash down the tarmac and mumbling apologies. Predictably, it only emboldened Iran to spread terror and chaos. But the second they dared to strike at vital shipping lanes, Trump responded with strength, not pointless sanctions or useless lectures. He let Iran know there are real consequences for their crimes.
Of course, the left can’t stand this kind of courage. They whine that Trump’s words are too harsh and his actions “escalate tensions” in the Middle East. They don’t seem to care that Iran’s rulers threatened the free world and attacked international ships! Apparently, liberals would rather play nice and hope evil gives them a hug. That’s not how the world works. Enemies only respect one thing: power.
Some might clutch their pearls about calling the Iranian leadership “scum,” but the truth stings. Why sugarcoat the actions of a government that funds terrorists and spits on human rights? The media elite and their globalist friends can tsk-tsk all day, but regular Americans know the difference between friends and enemies. Pretending evil is just a cultural misunderstanding is dangerous nonsense.
Despite the tough stance, Trump makes it clear America is always ready to negotiate—from a position of strength. That’s how peace is won, not by showing weakness or begging for mercy. If only the left would stop sabotaging American resolve and start acting like they care about our safety. When will liberals realize talk is cheap—and real leadership is priceless?
