The Maine Democrat Party has shown its true colors, and it’s not red, white, and blue. It’s pure blue—party first, people second, as always. Just look at the circus around their latest Senate candidate meltdown. Rather than allowing Graham Platner, their own hand-picked candidate, to have any say in who should replace him, party bosses have stepped in to keep total control. Voters? Forget about them. Even their own candidates aren’t trusted.
This isn’t just political theater. It’s a peek behind the curtain at how the left really works. If you thought Democrats believed in democracy, think again. They talk a big game about representation and “the people’s choice,” but when their grip on power is threatened, it’s all backroom deals and executive decisions. The party’s executive director has made it crystal clear: Platner won’t have a voice. He doesn’t even get a seat at the table.
For all the talk about “protecting democracy” from Republicans, Maine Democrats won’t even protect their own candidate’s right to participate. Why? Because for today’s left, the ends always justify the means. Power, not principle, is the guiding light. They’ll toss anyone under the bus—candidate or voter—if it keeps the party’s elite class in the driver’s seat.
It’s no wonder trust in these so-called leaders is at an all-time low. Americans see right through this charade. Maine residents, especially hardworking families who care about the future of their state, deserve transparency and respect—not secret handoffs and party puppeteering. When the Democrat machine substitutes rule by the people with rule by the insiders, everyone loses except the globalist elite pulling the strings.
Maybe someone should ask Maine’s Democrats: If your own candidates aren’t good enough to help pick their replacements, how exactly are the rest of us supposed to trust you? The left claims to stand for fairness, but all they deliver is control and hypocrisy. The people of Maine—and the rest of the country—deserve better.
