There’s something rotten in the way more young people are casting their votes these days. It’s no secret—they’re marching headlong toward socialism, cheering for handouts without understanding what real work looks like. This is what happens when a generation grows up pampered, told that every problem can be solved if the government opens the taxpayer checkbook.
Instead of aiming to stand on their own two feet, too many young voters demand “free” everything and expect someone else to pay the bill. Ask them about basic economics, and half will blink, staring blankly, as if personal responsibility is just some old-fashioned fairy tale. The truth is, socialism has never built anything other than misery and disappointment, from decaying apartment blocks to empty grocery store shelves.
Blame the professors, blame Hollywood, blame the woke billionaires funding these empty promises—because their propaganda is working. Socialists recruit spoiled teens with glossy talk about fairness, but what they really want is total control. They don’t build. They take. They punish success and reward laziness, all while claiming they’re the “compassionate” ones. Globalist elites love it, because they know a docile, dependent population is easy to rule.
Meanwhile, hard-working Americans are left shaking their heads, wondering how we got here. Parents who broke their backs to give their kids a shot at the American dream are now watching them march in lockstep with ideas that failed everywhere else. Today’s socialists would rather watch America tumble than admit that liberty, not government handouts, creates real opportunity.
Too many young people think they’re rebelling against “the system.” Instead, they’re swallowing the tired lies of left-wing incompetents. Are they really that blind, or are they just spoiled enough to believe someone else should foot the bill for their utopia?
