It’s happening again, folks. The Democratic Party in Maine is back at it, putting on another wild reality show for the rest of us to watch, and not in a good way. Their top Senate candidate, Graham Platner, is finally out—sort of. His campaign is still acting like maybe he could come back, but make no mistake: Platner’s a walking scandal. The Democrats hugged him close while he collected the kind of headlines that should destroy a political career. We’re talking accusations ranging from sickening tattoos and perverse app usage to rape and domestic abuse. And yet, the so-called “party of women” had no problem carrying his banner until the last possible minute.
Now it’s open season for the Democratic benchwarmers, and what do we get? Clowns and crooks rushing to replace a guy who should have never been anywhere near elected office. They’ve got until July 13 to pick a new candidate, but if you think they’ll clean up their act, wake up. The leading replacement wannabes come with their own stench. At least one, Troy Jackson, has his own storm of abuse allegations swirling around him. Is this the best Democrats have to offer Maine?
Only the radical left could fumble this hard. Democrats preach “trust women” but turn a blind eye to credible accusations against their own. They boast about cleaning up politics but can’t even keep predators off their Senate ticket. If conservatives made even half these mistakes, you’d see weeks of wall-to-wall outrage from the liberal media machine. But when the facts don’t fit their narrative, silence. It’s embarrassing, and it’s proof that defending their team comes first, no matter who gets hurt.
The Democratic Party is always ready to point fingers, but they can’t even sweep their own house. Instead, they usher in more chaos, more drama, and more disgrace. Is it any wonder their so-called “rising stars” seem to have more skeletons than accomplishments? Liberals talk big about “values” and “morality,” but they keep serving up candidates who wouldn’t make it past the front door at a PTA meeting.
If this is the future of the Democratic Party, Americans should brace for more scandals and more cover-ups. What’s it going to take for the left to finally start holding its own accountable? Or do crimes and corruption only matter if they help secure a blue seat?
