California liberals have lost their minds—again. This time, they blew nearly a million taxpayer dollars on a single sidewalk square. Yes, you read that right: one tiny slab of pavement. Not a fancy playground, not a homeless shelter, not a community center. Just a glorified sidewalk in the name of “eco-friendliness”—whatever that means anymore in woke America.
Let’s be honest here. The leftist politicians running California would rather virtue-signal about “green” projects than fix the real problems they created. Is the state overrun with crime, drugs, and sky-high housing costs? Sure. But instead of addressing those disasters, they pat themselves on the back for spending more on a small patch of concrete than most Americans will ever make in a year.
They slap the label “eco-friendly” on anything wasteful these days and call it progress. What did taxpayers get for almost a million bucks? Did this magical sidewalk cure wildfires, slash crime, or feed the hungry? No. Most working families don’t even know what “eco-friendly” really means in these swampy government circles.
