Court Smacks Down Free College Handouts for Illegal Immigrants

The liberal fantasy of endless handouts to illegal immigrants just got a wake-up call from the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals. Judges have finally stood up to the insanity, backing the Trump administration’s stand and shooting down the schemes of woke states and left-wing universities. For years, progressive elites have been bending over backward to reward lawbreaking at the expense of taxpaying American families. Enough is enough.

While Democrats keep crying about “equity” and “inclusion,” real Americans are getting left behind. College isn’t cheap, as every parent and student knows. But in blue states, leftist politicians push to give illegal aliens a golden ticket—special in-state tuition discounts that regular citizens can’t even get if they live a few miles across a border. That’s right, families who play by the rules and pay taxes get shafted, while the lawbreakers get a break at the front of the line.

The court’s decision is basic common sense, which seems pretty rare these days among our so-called leaders. Why should someone who broke the law to come here get rewarded with benefits that struggling American kids are denied? Only the most reckless, anti-American crowd could defend that. But to the globalist, open-borders crowd, being a U.S. citizen apparently counts for nothing. The feelings of illegal immigrants always come first—never mind the cost for America’s working families.

Leftists love to accuse conservatives of being heartless, but what do you call universities and state governments who stick it to their own citizens? These are the same politicians who claim to be for “the people,” yet trample hardworking taxpayers in their rush to score social justice points. Meanwhile, the real people of this country—citizens who love, work, and sacrifice for America—get sent to the back of the bus.

This court ruling is a rare win for basic sanity and the American way. Maybe, just maybe, the tide is turning against the progressive agenda that rewards lawbreaking and punishes citizenship. How many more times do we have to ask: when will the ruling class start caring about Americans first?
