NYC leaders caught meeting Iran’s UN rep while crime surges and citizens suffer

While most Americans are busy working hard and keeping the country running, city elites are playing shadowy games with our worst enemies. Let’s be clear: Commissioner Ana María Archila, a name the left loves, just slipped off to a secretive meeting with Iran’s so-called permanent representative at the United Nations. That’s right—while regular New Yorkers face crime and chaos, liberal officials are cozying up with an ambassador from a nation that despises everything this country stands for.

Archila was joined by two other senior bureaucrats from the mayor’s Office for International Affairs. Apparently, instead of focusing on actual problems in New York, these officials found time to sit down with Iran’s top man at the UN, Amir-Saeid Iravani. Iran, in case Democrats have forgotten, funds terrorism and chants “Death to America” every chance they get. Yet, here are top city officials giving them respect and a listening ear. Who are they really working for?

What’s even more outrageous is that this wasn’t even on any public agenda. No transparency, no accountability—just backroom diplomacy for globalist interests. Do the citizens of New York get a say when their leaders hobnob with regimes bent on undermining American safety? Of course not. Liberals pretend they’re all about fairness and democracy, but when it comes to their secret dealings, the rules just don’t apply.

You won’t hear a peep from the left about this hypocrisy. These are the same people who claim to fight for human rights, yet they’re busy shaking hands with the very regime that suppresses its own citizens and threatens ours. Instead of protecting American values and defending their own city, they’d rather play footsie with a dangerous theocracy. All in the name of inclusivity? Give me a break.

If this is what international affairs looks like under liberal control, New York—and America—have a lot to worry about. Why are our own officials more interested in appeasing enemies than serving their own people? Maybe next time the mayor’s office wants to “build bridges,” they should fix the ones right here at home first. Or is liberal leadership just more loyal to globalists than Americans?
