It’s almost comical how predictable the left gets when a Republican actually dares to have a backbone. Turn on The View if you want to watch so-called “Latina” pundits losing their minds over Marco Rubio actually standing up for secure borders and the rule of law. The latest circus act? According to one of the loudest panelists, Rubio has “forgotten” his roots because he won’t bend to the open-borders agenda. Give me a break.
This is the kind of mental gymnastics the left relies on. If you’re Hispanic and don’t blindly parrot Democrat talking points, suddenly you’re not “really” Latino. Rubio’s only crime here is refusing to bow to radical, lawless immigration schemes that undermine standards and safety for Americans—including millions of legal immigrants. But if you don’t submit to progressive identity politics, the left’s solution is to attack your very background. That’s how little respect they actually have for diversity of opinion.
The real weakness is exposed on that couch every weekday—hypocrites who yammer about “tolerance,” then harshly police who counts as ethnic enough. How is it “anti-racist” to say someone’s race or heritage is invalid just because they support strong borders? It’s no surprise, really. The left loves to claim moral superiority, but their arguments always devolve into name-calling and bizarre purity tests.
Notice, when a Hispanic Republican stands tall, liberal talking heads melt down. They can’t comprehend that minorities might think for themselves, break party lines, and actually care about the future of America. That’s a threat to their entire narrative. So, the personal attacks begin. There’s no real debate, just another desperate effort to gatekeep their so-called “community.”
Nobody’s buying it anymore. The audience for shows like The View isn’t nearly as deep or influential as Hollywood would like us to think. Regular Americans—of every background—are sick and tired of the insults and identity policing. Rubio isn’t the problem here. The real issue is a leftist media so obsessed with control, they’d rather insult someone’s heritage than have an honest conversation about real issues. Maybe it’s time the ladies on those TV couches look in the mirror and ask: who’s really betraying their roots?
