There’s finally good news out of Colombia, and the left can’t stand it. Abelardo de la Espriella—best known as El Tigre—just handed a crushing defeat to the radical machine that tried to keep Gustavo Petro’s agenda alive. The people of Colombia made it clear: they want no more whispers of Marxism, no more puppet leaders, and definitely no more of Petro’s chaos.
Ordinary Colombians saw through Petro’s game. He and his crew handpicked Ivan Cepeda as a replacement, lining up another loyal socialist to keep bleeding the country dry. But you can only fool hard-working people for so long. They didn’t buy it. Instead, they voted for someone who will actually protect their freedom—someone who stands up against the tired, toxic playbook of the globalist left.
What a shocker for the liberal elite. They love crowing about “democracy” when it suits them, but throw a tantrum when voters pick the side of liberty and common sense. These hypocrites are furious El Tigre won fair and square. Maybe now they’ll finally grasp that regular folks are sick of being ruled by out-of-touch progressives and their endless socialist fantasies.
This is a huge blow to the anti-American crowd that treats Colombia like its petri dish for woke experiments. The Petro camp wanted to keep cozying up to their globalist pals, pushing crazy ideas, and ignoring real problems like crime, joblessness, and border security. But Colombians just threw a wrench in the works—sending a message the whole hemisphere can hear.
El Tigre’s victory isn’t just a win for Colombia. It’s a warning shot to politicians everywhere who think they can trample freedom without consequences. Here’s an idea for the left: when voters reject your rotten ideas again and again, maybe it’s time to stop whining and listen. Or better yet—just shut up already.
