New York City Democrats are at it again—this time pushing another so-called “solution” that does nothing for the hardworking people trying to get home to their families. Socialist darling Zohran Mamdani rolled out his grand plan to fix city buses this week, and it’s everything you’d expect from the left—lots of hot air, zero real benefits, and guaranteed headaches for the average American.
Instead of speeding up city buses like he promised, Mamdani’s big idea just means more tickets and fines for honest citizens. Regular folks, just trying to drive their cars or park for a few minutes, can now expect an avalanche of citations. Meanwhile, those downtown bureaucrats will be patting themselves on the back for “progress,” while the rest of us reach for our wallets.
This is classic liberal playbook stuff. Rather than actually tackling the reasons why the city buses are slow—like bloated union contracts, runaway spending, and chaos on the streets—they reach into the pockets of everyday Americans. And they have the nerve to pretend this is about helping commuters. What a joke! The only thing they’re moving faster is the city’s ability to grab more of your hard-earned money.
Mamdani couldn’t even stick to his own rules at the press conference. He promised to keep it quick—six minutes flat—but broke his own deadline while showing off a stopwatch. If you can’t deliver a speech on time, why should anyone believe you can deliver real results for New Yorkers? It’s the same old story: Liberals make promises, ignore their own rules, and stick taxpayers with the bill.
This isn’t about making buses run faster. It’s about flexing government power and squeezing more fines out of struggling families. Is anyone actually surprised? New Yorkers deserve transportation solutions—not more hypocrisy from big government dreamers. How many more times will the left punish the middle class before people wake up and call it what it is—a sham?
