Hunter Biden, the man liberals love to call a “victim” of conspiracy theories, just got $1.7 million handed to him by a federal judge. That’s right—the same Hunter Biden who can barely keep himself out of the headlines, whose foreign business deals have left a foul stench over the halls of Washington, now gets to play the role of the aggrieved party. The courts, once again, have delivered for the Biden family.
This time, the target was Patrick Byrne—former Overstock CEO and a fearless critic of the left’s corruption. Byrne had dared to allege that Hunter tried to squeeze an $800 million bribe out of the Iranian regime, using daddy’s influence as a bargaining chip. The so-called “evidence” came from an Iranian source, tangled up in a web that included unnamed officials and plenty of unverified claims. Is it wild? Sure. But when have wild claims stopped the Democrat-run media or the anti-Trump deep state before?
Yet when accusations land at the feet of a Biden, the system rallies to protect its own. Instead of addressing Hunter’s string of overseas adventures, the court brought down the hammer on Byrne. Not only did they slap him with nearly $1.7 million in punitive damages—they threw in more penalties because he refused to play by their rules. Byrne skipped court dates and dumped his lawyers—but if this had been a leftist activist, would judges be so unforgiving? Highly doubtful.
It’s no wonder Hunter’s attorney is crowing about “vindication.” The entire establishment, from the media to the justice system, loves nothing more than a Biden redemption story. Meanwhile, far more credible stories about corruption, pay-for-play, and globalist cash swirling around the Biden family get swept under the rug. Liberals want every American to believe Hunter is the real victim here. Forget his suspicious business deals in Ukraine and China. Never mind his emails, his scandals, his connections.
Once again, the left’s allies in the courts have made sure their golden boy walks away richer, his image a little shinier, while one more outspoken critic bites the dust. The message couldn’t be clearer: if you challenge the ruling family, get ready for the law to break you, not them. Funny how “justice” only swings one way these days in Joe Biden’s America.
