It looks like James Talarico has decided the best way to win over Texas voters is by running straight toward the most bizarre corners of the far-left playbook. Instead of, say, talking about jobs or border security, he thinks teaming up with drag queens and parroting Beto O’Rourke is somehow a winning strategy in the Lone Star State. You can’t make this stuff up. Texans know what they want, and it’s not more woke theater or childish stunts.
Let’s not forget—while Republicans like Ken Paxton have survived brutal primaries and now stand united, Democrats keep pushing candidates like Talarico who seem determined to lose. The Democratic “big ideas” always seem to involve two things: undermining law enforcement and championing illegal immigration. Talarico is caught bragging about his past donations to a group that wanted to gut Austin’s police department. What did that get the city? A crime wave and an out-of-control homicide rate. That’s the “future” he wants for Texas?
It doesn’t end there. He’s also shown his true colors as a gun-grabber. Talarico openly talks about ignoring the real meaning of the Second Amendment, pushing for universal background checks and all sorts of bureaucratic hoops to make it nearly impossible for law-abiding Texans to exercise their rights. Maybe someone should remind him—the Supreme Court has made it clear, gun rights belong to the people. Texans won’t give those up just because some left-wing politician thinks he knows better.
And just when you think the circus couldn’t get any weirder, Talarico refuses to protect children from sexually charged performances. Why? Because it might “hurt the drag queens.” This is what the modern Democratic Party is offering: confusion, weakness, and a total disconnect from reality. While everyday Texans care about safe neighborhoods, secure borders, and protecting their families, Talarico is busy pandering to the fringe.
The icing on the cake? Even his own party can’t get along. Jasmine Crockett, fresh off her primary loss, can’t stop fuming. The left is eating itself alive, while conservatives are laser-focused on keeping Texas free, safe, and sane.
If James Talarico thinks drag queens and anti-police policies are what Texans want, he’s in for a rude awakening. Here’s a tip for Democrats: maybe, just maybe, try caring about America for once.
