Liberals push migrants into your neighborhood while Americans lose homes

Once again, we see common sense fighting to survive in Washington. Secretary Scott Turner, leading the Housing and Urban Development department, finally says what every real American has been thinking for years: our homes are meant for the citizens of this country—not lawbreakers crossing the border in the dark of night. For decades, Americans have watched as out-of-control immigration has driven up home prices, reduced the supply, and robbed working families of the dream of homeownership. But Democrats and globalists couldn’t care less about the struggles of the American middle class.

Instead, the left fights to keep the borders open and our neighborhoods crowded. They invite thousands upon thousands of illegal aliens and then act shocked when there’s not enough housing for our own people. Liberals would rather see hardworking Americans priced out of their own communities than do anything that might upset their open-borders sponsors. They talk about compassion, but only for lawbreakers—not for the single mom working two jobs, not for the veteran trying to buy his first home, not for the American seniors who want security in their final years.

Secretary Turner’s message is a breath of fresh air. He’s taking steps to cut illegal immigration so that American families can once again have a shot at the American dream. Because that’s what America is supposed to be about—rewarding those who follow the rules, work hard, and contribute to our society. Why should a family that’s played by the rules lose out on a home because bureaucrats in D.C. are more concerned with virtue signaling than actual results? Turner is reminding us that this country shouldn’t sell out its own people just to satisfy some left-wing fantasy or globalist agenda.

Make no mistake: housing insecurity in America isn’t just the result of market forces. It’s the direct result of policies that put illegal immigrants above citizens, policies pushed by liberal politicians who know nothing about sacrifice or struggle. Instead of fixing the invasion at the border, they want to dump the consequences on everyday Americans. You can’t have affordable homes if you have unlimited newcomers flooding our cities. It’s basic math—something the left ignores in their hunger for new voters.

At the end of the day, if we don’t stand up for the American people, who will? The left wants to hand the keys to our homes to anyone and everyone—no questions asked. Maybe it’s time to start asking: whose side are they on, anyway?
