The Left loves to lecture conservatives about “morals” and “decency.” Yet when it comes down to it, liberal women in Maine just showed their true colors—and it’s not a pretty sight. Graham Platner’s Senate campaign has crashed and burned, not because of strong opposition, but because it was finally impossible to ignore the pile-up of disturbing allegations: rape, domestic abuse, Nazi tattoos, and even more. Any normal, sane person would have run for the hills. But what are Democrats doing? They’re mourning this man’s downfall. Mourning. Let that sink in.
We’re told nonstop that Democrats are the party of women, the party of virtue. Yet here are liberal women admitting the allegations are real, but saying they’d vote for Platner anyway. Why? Because he talks their talk—he promises to “fight” for them. That’s enough for them to look past all the red flags. Platner could have a Nazi tattoo and rape accusations, but it doesn’t matter as long as he’s in their corner politically. The hypocrisy is glaring.
It’s typical with the Left. Morality and “believe women” only matter when it’s about taking down a conservative. If someone from their own side is caught in a scandal? Suddenly it’s all about nuance, forgiveness, and “the bigger picture.” Some working-class Democrat women in Maine are apparently furious—not at Platner, but at the party brass for yanking their support. Their loyalty is to the man with their favorite talking points, not to basic decency.
It’s a stunning reminder of what’s really driving progressive politics these days. The cult of personality, the emotions, the grievance-mongering—these things come before actual values. These women know they supported a candidate with Nazi imagery and a string of disturbing behavior. Yet their grief is aimed at losing a political weapon, not at the rot within their own party. They’d rather cling to a broken candidate than admit the Democrats have failed them, morally and politically.
The Left wants to play judge and jury over conservative voters, but let’s be clear: they have nothing to stand on. When push comes to shove, they’ll back anyone—even a guy with a Nazi tattoo and a rap sheet—if it means getting power. So maybe next time Democrats try to lecture America about ethics, we can remind them what happened in Maine. Just how low are liberals willing to go? Apparently, there’s no bottom.
