The LA City Council has found a new way to insult hardworking Americans. These so-called “public servants” are now pushing for a one-day work week. That’s not a typo. While real citizens sweat it out for 40 hours or more just to make ends meet, the people supposedly running Los Angeles want to clock in for one day and collect six-figure salaries.
Let’s be real. Many regular folks bringing home $40,000 can barely afford rent and groceries. But these liberal politicians? They’re hauling in almost $250,000 a year for a tiny sliver of actual work. If that’s not government waste, what is? Taxpayers are getting fleeced, all while crime spikes, homelessness explodes, and LA’s streets fill up with garbage. But heaven forbid the councilmembers miss a wine-and-cheese fundraiser or a photo op.
Where’s the accountability? These left-wing bureaucrats have mastered the art of doing as little as possible while pretending they care about the people. They campaign on big promises, shove progressive policies down everyone’s throat, then disappear to vacation in Malibu while hard-working families get stuck cleaning up the mess. They’re showing just how out of touch the coastal elites are with real American values: work hard, earn your keep, and serve your community.
Is there any surprise that Los Angeles is falling apart at the seams? Globalist, anti-American agendas have infested the city’s leadership. The council would rather virtue-signal about social justice than roll up their sleeves and tackle real problems. Now they’re openly bragging about slacking off, daring anyone to challenge their pathetic work ethic.
Here’s a tip for LA’s wannabe aristocrats: If you only plan on working one day a week, resign and let someone responsible do the job. Americans deserve leaders who get their hands dirty—not pampered politicians who treat City Hall like a part-time hobby. The only one-day schedule these councilmembers should have is their last day in office.
