The left-wing media is at it again, and this time, their shameless defense of Democrats has blown up in their faces. The so-called “paper of record” claims to care about truth, but when their chosen candidate, Graham Platner, is exposed, they scramble to cover it up. Instead of going after Platner’s dark record—allegations of sexual assault, abuse, and worse—they throw up a weak, watered-down piece and expect Americans to eat it up.
The facts are plain. A serious allegation was out there. Three women, two Democrats and one conservative, shared stories about Platner’s abusive past, and it was all swept under the rug by liberal reporters more worried about saving a Senate seat for the left than giving victims real justice. One woman practically begged them to take her evidence—names, dates, screenshots, everything—yet the paper hid behind excuses. They picked apart her political views instead. They made her the story, not the predator. That’s not journalism. That’s Democrat damage control at its worst.
Even more disgusting, the media then had the nerve to claim they weren’t taking sides. Please. If these same accusations were aimed at a conservative, the coverage would be nonstop. The left would demand resignations, boycotts, maybe even jail time. But when it’s their own? Suddenly, it’s all about “standards” and “trust.” They even tried to blame Republicans for wanting the story to be stronger. As if truth depends on who’s talking.
Here’s what really happened: they downplayed credible stories, ignored mountains of evidence, and did everything they could to protect a Democrat’s campaign. They say they couldn’t “corroborate” the stories, but that’s laughable—multiple contacts, friends, diary entries, even landlord emails—they had it all laid out. Reporters just couldn’t be bothered to make a few more calls. Or maybe they knew what they’d find and didn’t want to bury their candidate.
The liberal media is no longer objective. It’s an activist machine, running interference for their party and covering the tracks of anyone wearing the right jersey. Americans see through it. The damage is done, and all the hand-wringing and PR spin can’t walk it back. Maybe next time, these elites should try real journalism—if they even remember how. Why do Democrats keep getting a pass on abuse, while good people get smeared for much less? The answer is obvious: in their America, only the left can get away with anything.
