Democrats have spent years pretending to be the “party of the people,” but it’s all blown up in their faces yet again. Up in Maine, their so-called rising star—a leftist oyster farmer covered in Nazi tattoos—got shut down by his own party after horrifying rape allegations surfaced. What’s hilarious is the same Democrats who ignored earlier abuse claims suddenly found a conscience—only when the accuser was one of their own. Suddenly, the establishment pounced, scrambling to remove him and hoping people would forget their failures.
Let’s not kid ourselves about why this happened. The true puppet master behind this disaster is none other than Bernie Sanders. He has been desperately trying to play kingmaker, propping up a string of untested, radical candidates who sound more like TikTok activists than serious public servants. These aren’t local leaders—they’re socialists with zero political experience and, apparently, a knack for dragging scandals right along with them. Now, with Maine slipping through their fingers, Democrats are blaming Sanders for screwing up a race they thought would be an easy Senate win.
And it’s not just Maine. The Sanders experiment has backfired across the country, where his hand-picked candidates implode at an embarrassing rate. Sure, a handful win primaries—but the ones who crash and burn don’t just lose, they take the whole party’s credibility with them. This isn’t just bad luck. It’s bad judgment. Elevating fringe activists with skeletons rattling in their closets is par for the course for Bernie’s squad, but now even the DNC can’t hide the stench.
Most pathetic of all? The Democrats want to blame the far left, the progressive “insurgents,” for the party’s troubles. Yet, when you look at the establishment crowd—the same folks running fundraising calls using globalist talking points, begging for AIPAC money, desperate for any edge against Trump—they aren’t stepping up with honest leadership either. Instead, they look the other way or, worse, embrace these radicals when it suits them. The infighting and blame-shifting just expose how hollow their values really are.
If the leftists want their socialist revolution, let them have it. Republicans should sit back and get out of the way. Let the Democrats torch themselves with woke, out-of-touch candidates picked by a millionaire socialist from Vermont. They created this mess—now they can drown in it. How long before America realizes the “party of progress” is stuck on repeat, failing even its own members?
