Another day, another security scare on Capitol Hill—only this time, with a true victim left behind. While the mainstream media wring their hands about the criminal who dared to show up at a secure Capitol barricade with a firearm, not enough people are talking about the innocent animal caught in the crossfire: his loyal dog. That poor pup had to watch as its owner was handcuffed and whisked away by armed officers, all for a stunt that did nothing but waste everyone’s time and put the dog in danger.
If Democrats spent half as much energy actually fixing our crumbling borders as they spend locking down the Capitol for every unhinged intruder, maybe our country would be safer. But no, it’s another show of force on Capitol Hill, complete with security barricades, weapons drawn, and politicians hiding behind multiple layers of “protection.” Meanwhile, regular Americans are left to fend for themselves. Where’s the outrage when a hardworking family in middle America is threatened by violent crime because progressive policies have handcuffed the cops?
And what about the dog? If an illegal migrant had left a helpless animal alone in a hot car while breaking the law, you’d see endless sob stories and outraged hashtags on liberal Twitter. But because this happened at the Capitol—and doesn’t fit their narrative—the dog’s suffering is ignored. Animals are props for outrage only when it suits the left’s agenda. The double standard is sickening.
Let’s not pretend the far-left cares about common sense gun laws, either. Capitol Hill is supposed to be the “People’s House,” but everyday Americans aren’t welcome unless they’re there to fit the woke storyline. Globalists shut us out and then scream about threats—totally ignoring when their own policies put the whole country at risk. Maybe, if our government spent less time patrolling barricades and more time standing up for working citizens and animal welfare, we wouldn’t see these pathetic spectacles unfold.
Ask yourself: who really gets protected in Biden’s America—the politicians pandering for global applause, or the innocent pup watching its owner hauled away in handcuffs? Liberals talk a big game about compassion, but when it comes down to it, their only concern is keeping the ruling class safe and the cameras rolling. The people—and their dogs—deserve better.
