It’s official—New York City under Mayor Zohran Mamdani is spiraling out of control. While the city drowns in empty socialist promises, the real cost is being paid by hardworking New Yorkers who can barely afford to keep a roof over their heads. The average rent in Manhattan has rocketed to over $5,200 a month. That’s a record high, and it’s getting worse every single year. The so-called “tax-the-rich” agenda hasn’t helped ordinary families. It’s just made the city even more expensive and pushed the people who built this city out of their homes.
The reality is clear: Mamdani’s regime has driven millionaires—and their money—straight out of town. Billions of dollars in tax revenue have vanished, leaving a gaping hole in the city’s finances. But the radical left doesn’t care, as long as they get to flex their power and punish success. New Yorkers are watching their neighborhoods change before their eyes, and not for the better. Instead of rewarding investment and hard work, the city’s leaders are sending a loud message: if you have dreams of making it, run! There’s no place for you here.
Even worse, while New Yorkers struggle, city hall seems more interested in silly cosmetic projects than tangible solutions. In the middle of a housing crisis, Mamdani’s pet focus is on painting ugly sidewalks and decorating construction sites instead of actually making life better for the people who live here. That’s liberal “leadership”: empty gestures dressed up as progress. Never mind that a huge portion of the city’s rental units are now filled by foreign-born tenants—filling the gap after droves of Americans bolted during the COVID exodus.
What drives this kind of politics? It’s not about the freedom or the prosperity of American citizens. It’s about globalist priorities and pandering to leftist activists—always playing politics, never solving real problems. While New York families tighten their belts and small businesses shut their doors, the far-left powers that be are patting themselves on the back for running out anyone with ambition or a savings account. And let’s not forget, this disaster isn’t over—New Yorkers are stuck with Mamdani’s brand of incompetence for years to come.
New York was once the city that never sleeps. Now, under radical policies, it’s just the city people can’t afford to wake up in. How much more “progress” can New Yorkers take before there’s nothing left to save?
