It was only a matter of time before the left-wing mob set its sights on the big Paramount and Warner Bros. Discovery merger. These media giants might just join forces, but liberals are fuming. Now, as always, California is leading the loud and clueless charge.
The anti-business crowd in Hollywood’s backyard just can’t stand the idea of a free market. They screech about “monopolies” and “fairness” whenever they see companies succeeding—especially if those companies don’t jump through every progressive hoop. While regular Americans just want better movies and more choices, leftist politicians are coming up with new reasons to block the merger, wasting taxpayer money on bogus investigations.
This isn’t even about protecting consumers. It’s about control. The left can’t handle losing influence over the narratives their pet studios pump out. They’re terrified that if Paramount and Warner Bros. Discovery combine, someone besides liberal elites might actually have a say in what America watches. Heaven forbid competition actually shakes up their Hollywood echo chamber.
And let’s be real—the California political machine loves any excuse to slap more regulations on businesses. They throw tantrums about how “diversity” or “social justice” will suffer, but we all know what this is really about: keeping their pals in cushy jobs and making sure nothing threatens their broken, bloated system.
Americans deserve strong, innovative media companies, not a bunch of whiners in Sacramento and DC holding back progress for their own benefit. If the left fears losing power over the media, maybe they should focus on making better content, not throwing up roadblocks. Are we really going to let a pack of out-of-touch ideologues in California decide what everyone else gets to watch?
