Michigan’s Senate primary is turning into quite the circus, and no one is clowning around harder than Abdul El-Sayed. This Democrat is supposed to be the “rising star” of the left, but lately, he’s been doing his best impression of a flip-flop artist. The big reason? His ugly record on “defunding the police”—something many Democrats adore in secret, but scramble to hide when the cameras are rolling.
You know it’s bad when even the mainstream media can’t keep quiet. Democrats usually get softball questions and love letters for interviews. But this time, El-Sayed couldn’t paper over his anti-police past. Receipts were dropped. The guy wriggled like a fish on dry land, dodging and weaving instead of owning up to his radical stance. When the left’s favorite news outlets put you on blast, you know you’ve crossed the line.
This is exactly what Americans have come to expect from the Democrat Party: say whatever it takes to win votes, and never admit to the damage their policies cause. How many cities have to burn? How many lives have to be destroyed before these so-called “progressives” see the blood on their hands? El-Sayed and his ilk cheered for defunding law enforcement, thinking they’d be hailed as heroes on Twitter. Now, as crime soars and families feel less safe, suddenly they swear they “never meant” what they said. Give me a break.
The hypocrisy is off the charts. These leftists scream for open borders, soft-on-crime policies, and making life easier for the worst in society—then act shocked when citizens push back. They love to grandstand about justice, but when it comes time to take responsibility, they point fingers and run for cover. Michigan families are paying the price for these failed experiments, and only Democrats pretend not to see the obvious.
If Abdul El-Sayed can’t tell the truth about his own record, how is he supposed to “lead” anything? Maybe he’s confused about what country he’s in. The people of Michigan deserve better than a candidate whose only talent is hiding from his own words. At this rate, the only thing the Democrat bench has to offer is more lies, more excuses, and a whole lot less safety. Good luck selling that, Abdul.
