Once upon a time, this city was called the “City of Roses.” Now, thanks to left-wing leadership, it’s the city of decay.
Let’s be honest: the rot started at City Hall. The city is run by hard-left radicals who care more about pandering to socialist groups than keeping their streets safe. They ignore the desperate calls for law and order, and instead pat themselves on the back for “compassion” — which in reality just means apathy for crime and chaos. These so-called leaders have turned Portland into a dumping ground for every bad policy, from defunding police to coddling criminals.
Saturday in the park should mean family time, laughing kids, and music in the air. But in today’s Portland, families fear for their safety. When a naked man can wander through a busy park and a child can be snatched in broad daylight, something is deeply wrong. Tourists expecting quirky coffee shops and friendly locals now find themselves in a nightmare, angry and disgusted by the lawlessness on full display. Who wants to visit a city where there are more criminals than cops?
The virtue-signaling politicians who run Portland love to talk about “equity” and “progress.” What they’ve actually delivered is a city full of graffiti, drugs, and despair. Instead of fixing problems, they manufacture new ones. Instead of sending police, they send tweets. And when the public dares to complain, leadership hides behind their woke talking points — as if buzzwords can keep families safe.
This is the “new normal” in any city plagued by progressive incompetence. The city council, the mayor, and their activist police chief have welcomed lawlessness with open arms. While global elites and the media cheer on their failures, average Americans are left to suffer the consequences. Is this really what anyone wants for America’s future — naked men in the parks and not a cop in sight? Wake up, before every city turns into Portland.
