It looks like the Democrats just lost another round in Wisconsin, and it’s all thanks to the utter disaster that is Sara Rodriguez’s campaign. While the left loves to talk about “transparency” and “leadership,” they can’t even keep their own house in order. Rodriguez, the current lieutenant governor, is supposed to be the heir apparent to outgoing Governor Tony Evers — but she can’t even handle basic math, let alone lead a state.
Just this week, the cracks turned into an earthquake. After firing her campaign manager over “problems” in her fundraising records, the truth slipped out: Rodriguez’s operation has been padding the books with repeated donations, racking up unpaid bills, and running on empty. There’s only about $200,000 left — pocket change for a statewide race that, let’s face it, she’d need ten times over just to survive a primary.
Worse, Rodriguez’s team is spinning out of control. She admits she has unpaid invoices with vendors, yet claims she just learned about it last week. Seriously? Either she’s not paying attention, or she just doesn’t care. At a press conference meant to save face, everything went from bad to worse. Reporters hammered her about the phony numbers and financial black hole, and instead of tough answers, she offered excuses and promised she’d “do the right thing.” Of course, this is the same politician who wanted to write Wisconsin’s budget in secret. The left shouts about openness, but when the spotlight’s on, they hide the mess in the closet.
Adding insult to injury, Rodriguez’s press team botched a simple text to supporters by using the wrong handle. It’s embarrassing. And to top it all, a train literally blew its horn in the middle of her speech, almost as if the universe itself was calling out this campaign for the train wreck it is.
Rodriguez promises she’s not dropping out. But why bother staying in when there’s no money in the bank and her campaign looks more like amateur hour? Meanwhile, Republican nominee Tom Tiffany is ready to restore sanity to Wisconsin while the Democrats trip over their own shoelaces. If this is the best they’ve got, they might as well hand over the keys now. How many more liberal meltdowns do Wisconsin voters need before they say enough is enough?
