America is supposed to be a place where our judges uphold the law, not where they have to fear for their lives. But this week, Supreme Court Justices—yes, those nine robed figures who serve as the last line of defense for our Constitution—had to sit before Congress and basically beg for enough security to keep themselves and their families safe. This is what happens when the Left stokes hate and rage against anyone who dares to stand in the way of their radical agenda. Liberal activists have whipped up a frenzy by painting the Supreme Court as some kind of enemy of the people—when actually, it’s the only thing holding back the socialist mob. The threats aren’t coming from patriotic Americans. They’re coming from the kind of unhinged radicals emboldened by leftist politicians and Hollywood elites who cheer on chaos from their gated mansions.
Congress, of course, pretends to care. They hold these hearings, wring their hands, and act shocked. But who allowed this climate of fear in the first place? Who refused to crack down on protestors showing up at justices’ homes? Who turns a blind eye while left-wing groups post private information online, painting targets on the backs of our judges? The hypocrisy is stunning. If this happened to a liberal justice, CNN would cover it 24/7. But when it’s someone like Barrett, the media shrugs and politicians on the Left look away.
When the highest court in the land has to ask Washington for extra money just to stay alive, it says everything about how broken things have become. The Left doesn’t want to protect these justices—they want to intimidate them into silence. Remember: every time security is beefed up at the Court, it’s because liberal rage mobs can’t handle losing a case or not getting their socialist wish list.
Maybe the people who need bulletproof vests are the ones who dare to defend the Constitution against the leftist machine. When a Supreme Court justice has to sit her child down and explain why she can’t even go to work without body armor, America has a big problem. What will it take before Democrats admit their rhetoric has real, dangerous consequences? Or is that chaos exactly what they want?
