Maine Democrats are crashing and burning in broad daylight, and the dumpster fire just keeps getting hotter. Their supposed “rising star,” Graham Platner, is now political roadkill — not because of his extremist views or even his Nazi tattoo, but because his own party finally got tired of the sex scandals flooding the headlines. Sex abuse claims, rape allegations, violent fantasies, shady online behavior — you name it, Platner’s been whispered about it. But the folks running Maine’s Democratic machine didn’t care until the optics got a little too radioactive. Suddenly, the Platner ship sinks, and now they’re scrambling to find someone — anyone — to slap on the ballot before time runs out.
Here comes Jordan Wood, stepping up as the next liberal knight to rescue this mess. You’d expect Wood to condemn Platner’s sick record and distance himself from the dirt. Nope. Instead, he’s wagging his finger at “New York political elites” for Platner’s downfall — brushing past all the women’s stories, the disturbing social media, and even the Nazi signal. The establishment doesn’t scare Wood. He’s too busy blaming boogeymen and agreeing with half the stuff Platner stood for. It’s like the Democrats want to lose.
Let’s be clear: the Democrat bench in Maine is so thin, they’re left defending a man with a Nazi tattoo — and another guy says he likes a lot of what that Nazi had to say. If that’s not rock bottom, what is? It used to be liberals shouted about “fighting hate” and “standing up for women” — now their standard-bearers can’t even muster outrage when their own are exposed as predators or extremists. Power comes first, their own woke rules are optional.
It gets better. When Jordan Wood was grilled about the wave of Medicare and Medicaid fraud in Maine — which, by the way, has been linked to certain groups — his answer was to cry racism. That’s the Democrat playbook: When caught red-handed, yell “racist!” and hope everyone stops asking hard questions. Maybe he thinks Mainers are too dumb to notice the scam. Or maybe he thinks the media will keep running cover for every Democrat disaster, like they always do.
This Maine race is a circus, a sad joke — and Senator Susan Collins must be grinning ear to ear. Liberals love to act holier-than-thou, but when the mask slips, it’s always the same story: double standards, denial, and total chaos. How can anyone trust these people to run a country when they can’t even run their own campaigns without rolling out the red carpet for perverts and radicals? If this is the best the Left has to offer, maybe Mainers should just sit back and grab some popcorn.
