Mexico’s New President Wants American Borders Open, but Hands Off Her Own People
Once again, Mexico’s leaders are lecturing America on how to handle our own laws. President Claudia Sheinbaum thinks she can decide what happens on our side of the border. Her big idea? Flood the U.S. with lawyers, file criminal complaints, sic the United Nations on us, and threaten American companies that enforce our immigration laws. All of this, just so Mexico’s citizens—many of them here illegally—get better treatment in America.
It’s rich coming from a country that can’t keep its own citizens safe at home. Apparently, Mexico wants its people to have more rights in the U.S. than they do back home! President Sheinbaum never misses a chance to “defend” her citizens in America, but you won’t catch her demanding the same protections for Americans stuck or traveling in Mexico. It’s another case of “do as I say, not as I do”—a classic liberal maneuver.
Here’s a question no one on the left wants to answer: If Mexico cares so much about its people, why does it refuse to take them back? Instead of working to fix its own problems, Mexico’s government encourages its poor to leave, then expects the U.S. to act as babysitter. But when it comes time to actually return its citizens—people here illegally—Mexico drags its feet every time. The moment America tries to take charge, globalists like Sheinbaum cry to international groups and threaten legal warfare. Meanwhile, our nation’s laws and security get trampled.
This isn’t about compassion or protecting “rights.” It’s about exploiting America’s broken system. The left eats it up, cheering for foreign interference while ignoring the needs of American families. Workers lose jobs; communities lose their safety; but Mexico gets a steady flow of cash sent home by citizens who shouldn’t be here in the first place. Why would Sheinbaum want them to return? American dollars benefit Mexico far more than fixing the mess in her own backyard.
Here’s the truth liberal elites don’t want to admit: No other country, especially ones like Mexico, would tolerate this level of foreign meddling or lawbreaking. But thanks to weak leadership in D.C., America’s borders remain wide open while our laws are mocked—by our so-called “allies,” no less. Time for tough questions. When will our government care more about protecting Americans than pleasing foreign leaders? Or are we just supposed to say, “Welcome to America—now, tell us how to run it”?
