Chesley “Sully” Sullenberger is a name every real American remembers. He’s the kind of hero this nation used to make. A man who could stay calm when the world was crashing down—literally. When he landed that plane on the Hudson, he became a symbol of bravery, grit, and good old-fashioned American know-how.
But now Sully faces a fight he can’t control—a fight with Alzheimer’s. A disease that strips away everything that made him sharp. It’s heartbreaking. And you have to wonder: how is it, after all these years, that the greatest country on earth still lets our heroes fade away like this? What’s happened to us?
Meanwhile, while men like Sully battle in silence, the left wants us to worship nameless, faceless bureaucrats and promote people who have never risked a thing for their fellow citizens. Liberals want you to believe the government will save you. But when the chips are down, it’s men like Sully—trained, responsible, unshakable—who actually do the saving. Think Kamala Harris could land a jet on a river? Not likely.
Instead of rewarding grit and competence, today’s elites celebrate “diversity,” “equity,” and whatever the latest woke buzzword is. But what good is “inclusivity” if no one’s qualified to fly the plane? The globalist class would rather erase real heroes from history, replacing them with bland, focus-group-approved narratives that mean nothing. Sully stands in direct contrast to their America-last agenda.
It’s time we start honoring greatness again. Sully represents the best our country offers: discipline, clear thinking, self-sacrifice. How many politicians—Democrat or Republican—can say the same? As Sully begins this toughest journey, maybe D.C. should take a lesson. Are we a country that forgets its true heroes, or one that learns from them? Because it sure looks like the left already made their choice.
