Once again, woke bureaucrats in Washington are telling our border agents to tie their hands and look the other way. This time, ICE agents have been ordered to stop almost all vehicle stops after a single shooting in Maine caught the attention of the Department of Homeland Security’s political bosses. This is what happens when public safety takes a backseat to left-wing hysteria and public relations spin. One criminal act, committed by an illegal alien who tried to run over federal agents, and suddenly the whole mission of ICE is under attack.
The Biden administration and its cronies are more worried about bad optics than actually protecting American citizens. They’re so terrified of the open-borders lobby, they forget what their job really is: enforce the law, period. So what’s their solution after an illegal alien from Colombia forced ICE agents to defend themselves? Punish the people trying to keep us safe, not the lawbreakers.
Let’s be clear: ICE agents aren’t the problem. They’re highly trained. They know how to handle risky stops. They have the intelligence and skills to do the job right. Tom Homan, who knows more about border security than any suited-up D.C. talking head, said it himself. ICE is still going after dangerous illegal aliens — temporary pause or not. They’re adapting, arresting these criminals before they ever get behind the wheel. When vehicle assaults by illegal aliens are skyrocketing, stopping them earlier just makes sense. They’re protecting American lives while the swamp worries about pleasing activists.
Meanwhile, the left is fuming, pretending this pause is the end of ICE enforcement. It’s the same tired lies and scare tactics. They want chaos at the border and weak enforcement so their globalist buddies can keep taking advantage of hardworking Americans. The numbers don’t lie: vehicle assaults have exploded. So why is Washington more worried about headlines than stopping the next tragedy?
Every time liberal policymakers meddle with law enforcement, Americans pay the price. They never learn. Do these elites care more about the feelings of criminal aliens than the safety of your family? Or is letting chaos reign exactly what they want?
