But his “punishment”? Less than five years in prison. This is what happens when the system values political correctness over public safety.
This heartbreaking case is a direct consequence of open borders madness championed by the left. Here was someone who never should have been allowed into our country, much less trusted to drive a big rig on our highways. Instead, thanks to liberal policies caving to globalist interests, the doors remain open for anyone—no background checks, no consequences. Now, American families are left grieving while the criminal responsible gets a slap on the wrist.
It’s no accident California became ground zero for this tragedy. The state’s leadership rolls out the red carpet for illegal aliens, giving them more rights than law-abiding citizens. Sanctuary laws, driver’s licenses for the undocumented, and soft-on-crime prosecutors all make these deadly incidents possible. Where is the accountability? The so-called reformers are far too busy worrying about the “rights” of people who have no business being here.
If an American citizen killed multiple people by reckless driving, the punishment would be far more severe. But for the left, scoring political points with illegal immigrants is more important than justice for American victims. The hypocrisy is sickening. Meanwhile, families mourn and voters wonder whose side their leaders are really on.
When a nation refuses to defend its own people, disaster always follows. How many more innocent lives must be destroyed before liberals wake up and put Americans first again? Or is the safety of our citizens just collateral damage in the globalist agenda?
