A federal jury saw through the lies in six short hours, convicting a school official and his partner on every single count. This wasn’t some one-off fluke—this sort of fraud is business as usual in liberal-run education districts across the country. Dig a little deeper, and you’ll find nearly 90 similar fraud cases, hauling off about $225 million from hardworking taxpayers in just six years. That’s two hundred and twenty-five million dollars that was supposed to go to teachers, classrooms, and safe schools. Instead, it bought designer bags and luxury perks for a handful of insiders.
While parents struggle with sky-high property taxes and kids read from outdated textbooks, these bureaucrats are living the high life. Liberals love to brag about “investing in our children” and “supporting public education” — but what does all that so-called investment actually buy? Apparently, it lines the pockets of cronies and rewards corruption. Liberals blame everyone else for the broken state of public education, but the truth is, they’ve created a system run by bureaucrats, not by teachers or parents.
Every time conservatives call for transparency or school choice, the left cries foul and clings to the failing status quo. Why? Because their gravy train depends on keeping parents out of the loop and letting the same old insiders run wild. The only thing the system seems to teach these days is that crime pays—if you know the right people.
Americans should be furious. These fraudsters aren’t just stealing cash; they’re stealing our children’s future. What’s next — another billion-dollar boondoggle while students can’t even read at grade level? Maybe it’s time to clean house. Liberals talk a big game, but they never seem interested in real reform.
