ICE agents in Texas were forced to open fire after a man, Lorenzo Salgado Araujo, tried to escape a lawful vehicle stop. ICE was targeting an illegal migrant—someone who shouldn’t even be in our country in the first place. This is what the open borders agenda brings us: chaos, danger, and lawlessness spilling into our own communities.
For years, conservatives have warned that ignoring immigration laws leads to tragedy. Now, after this shooting, Democrats are suddenly running for cover. They love to attack ICE agents whenever it suits their political narrative, but when real threats strike, they hide behind investigations and bureaucracy. All the while, American lives are put at risk by the very people liberals want to protect.
Chairman Garbarino is doing what should have been done long ago. He’s demanding oversight and accountability, not just over one shooting, but over the entire out-of-control situation at the border. Liberals talk a big game about compassion and human rights, but they never mention the rights of American citizens left exposed to dangerous criminals slipping across an unguarded border.
Let’s be clear: ICE agents are not the bad guys here. They risk their lives every day to protect Americans from threats that soft-on-crime politicians and globalist elites would rather ignore. This shooting in Texas is just the latest example of how failing to enforce our laws leads to violence. How many more Americans have to pay the price for liberal incompetence? How much longer will our country be held hostage by pro-illegal immigration activists who care more about foreign national criminals than about our own families?
