America is supposed to honor its troops. But in California, that’s not always true. While our brave men and women are serving overseas, a towing company has been cashing in on their hardship—auctioning off their vehicles without so much as a second thought. Only when the hammer of the Justice Department came down, did S&K Towing finally have to pay up, agreeing to cough up $160,000. But really, was the punishment enough?
This is the sick reality of modern America under liberal leadership. Instead of protecting our military from greedy businesses, bureaucrats let abuse go on until it gets media attention. Some company manager even bragged that selling off soldiers’ cars is “business as usual.” It’s shameful! How can anyone shrug off the rights of those defending freedom around the globe? Where are the California politicians? Busy passing pointless bans on gas stoves, or letting crime soar in their cities.
Let’s be honest: if this was about illegal migrants losing their vehicles, you’d have Democrats marching in the streets. There would be press conferences, hashtags, and lectures from Hollywood celebrities. But when it’s the working-class American soldier getting ripped off, the left yawns. The so-called “Justice Department” takes years to step in, and the slap-on-the-wrist penalty is just brushed off in the news cycle.
Meanwhile, globalist elites enjoy their protections and perks, while our troops get their cars auctioned out from under them. Where’s the outrage? For all liberals’ talk about “doing the right thing,” this is what real anti-American bias looks like. They’d rather go to war for woke causes than defend the soldiers who make their protests possible in the first place.
The next time you hear politicians talk about “supporting the troops,” ask them whose side they’re really on. It sure doesn’t look like they care. Maybe it’s time we all start asking: who’s protecting those who protect us?
