Once again, we see what liberal weakness gets us on the world stage. Iran – one of America’s oldest enemies – picked up an American woman and locked her away earlier this year. We don’t even know her name, or what she supposedly did. The facts are still hidden, as usual when the Biden administration fumbles its way through another crisis. But what we do know is that Donald Trump is now calling out the Tehran regime for a so-called “gesture of goodwill” now that they’ve let her go.
For months, Iran had the upper hand. They snatched an American citizen and kept her behind bars. The Biden White House didn’t tell us much. They never stand up to bullies like Iran, China, or Russia. Instead, the left just offers more appeasement, embarrassed silence, and endless “diplomacy.” No details for the American people, no answers, just their usual secret deals in smoke-filled rooms.
But look what happens the second real leadership emerges. Trump cuts through the fog and makes it clear: This wasn’t some big act of kindness from Iran. It’s a game – a sick reminder of just how often our own leaders put Americans at risk by projecting weakness across the world. Joe Biden’s America leaves innocent people vulnerable, while dictators and mullahs laugh.
Does anyone believe this would have happened under an administration that put America first? Under President Trump, we saw hostages and wrongfully held Americans come home, because strength matters. But under Biden’s watch, we get secret detentions. We get foreign adversaries playing with the lives of innocent citizens, just to see what they can get away with.
Liberals are happy to call this a “gesture of goodwill.” But the only goodwill here should be from our leaders to their own people. Iran knows the left will let them walk all over us. When will the so-called progressives stop bowing to our enemies and start defending Americans abroad? Maybe when pigs fly – or when we finally get an America First president back in the White House.
