Joy Behar slammed for calling Graham Senate pick a DEI win over merit

Liberals just can’t help themselves when it comes to peddling their favorite buzzwords, and Joy Behar is their fearless leader of out-of-touch takes. On national TV, she tripped over herself to call Darline Graham’s appointment to the U.S. Senate the “very definition of DEI”—as if that’s the only thing that matters anymore. It’s no longer about experience, loyalty, or service to the people. If you check the right identity boxes, suddenly you’re a hero to the left.

Let’s get one thing straight: hard work and dedication are what made America great—not forced diversity quotas. But the woke mob acts like everyone who doesn’t match their checklist is an enemy, while blindly cheering people placed in power for what’s in their pants or who’s checking off which box. When did Americans stop caring about real achievement and start handing out gold stars based on who screams “diversity” the loudest?

The left loves to play the equality card, but their hypocrisy stinks to high heaven. When a conservative woman like Darline Graham earns a seat, liberals like Behar twist themselves in knots to paint it as a DEI circus. Meanwhile, when their own side fills positions with Hollywood darlings or big-party donors, suddenly merit and actual skills don’t matter at all. This is the two-faced nature of leftist politics—rules for thee, but not for me.

The South Carolina Senate deserves strong, independent leadership. Instead, the left can’t stop gloating about breaking “firsts” while ignoring the real substance of the role: representing actual constituents and making decisions that put America first. Joy Behar and her liberal friends would rather make everything about gender and race than admit conservatives can break glass ceilings, too—and do it without playing the victim.

Here’s a thought: maybe it’s time liberals start focusing on results, not empty symbolism. America’s future is too important to be sacrificed on the altar of DEI and virtue signals. If all the left cares about is labels, who’s actually going to get the job done?
