The rich are leaving. Businesses aren’t sticking around. But according to Hochul, it’s not her fault. She blames—get this—Donald Trump and COVID. It’s always someone else’s problem. Forget the unbearable taxes. Ignore the crime and the political insanity. Don’t pay attention to how her left-wing policies punish success. It’s all just a big accident, folks, nothing to see here.
Let’s be real. People with money and common sense are tired of being treated like ATM machines for a government that doesn’t care about them. They built their wealth. They created jobs. Now they’re being squeezed, threatened, and demonized by a liberal regime obsessed with handouts and social experiments. Ask any New Yorker with ambition why they’re leaving—the answer isn’t Trump or a pandemic. It’s the hostile, anti-business climate created by Hochul and her cronies.
This abandonment of responsibility is absolutely classic leftist hypocrisy. Hochul wants all the benefits of a thriving economy—fancy development projects, expensive social programs, and federal attention—but doesn’t want to do the hard work to actually make New York friendly to growth. Her answer? Blame conservatives, blame the past, wash her hands of her own mistakes.
No wonder the movers can’t keep up with demand for one-way tickets out of New York. Instead of fixing her mess, Hochul whines about Trump. Instead of protecting families and jobs, she hides behind the excuse of COVID. Liberals like her will never learn. Maybe someone should ask her where she plans to flee when the money finally runs out.
