Texas is in the crosshairs again, and not just because of the weather. As the Guadalupe River turns into a deadly torrent, the hardworking people of Texas are once again left to fend for themselves. Flash flood emergencies are sweeping through the Texas Hill Country, driving families from their homes and putting lives in danger. Where are the so-called leaders who claim to care about these “red state” Americans? Busy playing politics while another crisis hits flyover country.
It’s clear: the left loves to crow about “climate change” every time there’s a storm, but when Texans actually need help, it’s all radio silence from Washington. Year after year, Texas faces hurricanes, droughts, and now biblical flooding. The mainstream media is quick to blame “global warming,” but never stops to ask why basic infrastructure still isn’t fixed and why real disaster relief always comes too late. This is what happens when you have liberals more worried about virtue signaling for their next big-city cocktail party than protecting American communities.
The so-called experts, hiding behind their weather models, toss around scary phrases and then move on. Meanwhile, it’s the people in these “forgotten” regions—who vote their values and love this country—who have to pick up the pieces, rebuild, and carry on. The National Weather Service may issue all the warnings it wants, but warnings aren’t enough. This is a real, deadly crisis. It’s not going to be solved by another study, another tax, or some useless government spending aimed at “climate equity.” Texans don’t need lectures from activists—they need support and real solutions.
No one in the White House is talking about sending aid to the red states. That’s not an accident. It’s part of a bigger pattern: punish states that stand up to the D.C. machine. If Texas gets battered, so what? As long as the globalists and the open-borders crowd get their way, regular Americans can fend for themselves. The hypocrisy is sickening. The same elites who look down their noses at the South and the Midwest are the first to pat themselves on the back for supporting “the science”—but won’t lift a finger when disaster strikes hardworking Americans in conservative states.
Once again, Texas will stand tall. Neighbors will rescue neighbors and communities will come together—like they always do. They have to, because they sure can’t count on leadership from the left. Maybe the real flood is all the empty promises coming out of Washington. Remind us again, why do these “progressives” even pretend to care about the heartland?
