We’re talking about 44 lawmakers being snooped on, all to satisfy Jack Smith’s runaway investigation. If conservatives had tried a stunt like this, the liberal media would be calling for public trials at sunrise.
Let’s be clear: the left loves preaching about privacy and civil liberties—until they’re the ones in power. Then suddenly, every American’s personal life is just another file for Big Government to rifle through. Even some Democrats are starting to squirm, now that the spying has gotten too big to ignore. Democrat Senator Blumenthal seems nervous, as well he should be. Americans see right through this hypocrisy. When they come for conservatives, the left cheers. When the snooping boomerangs, they remember the Constitution.
These Biden-era “investigations” are starting to smell a lot more like political witch hunts than real justice. The globalist elites who run Washington think they’re above the law. They believe that using government agencies to crush their opponents is part of the job. This is exactly the lawlessness the Founders warned us about—government agents unleashed, spying on their enemies with the full force of federal power.
Where’s the outrage from progressive leaders who claim to defend transparency and decency? It’s silence—because their side is steering the ship. Apparently, privacy only matters when liberals are the ones being inconvenienced. Americans remember the lectures after the Snowden affair, the pious talk about government overreach. Today, the script has flipped, and so has their moral compass.
